My art hopes to stop you before you understand why.

The images are immediate – bold black lines, flat fields of color, figures that sit somewhere between the abstract and the figurative, neither resolved nor unfinished, precise yet restless. The visual language is graphic and direct. But there is more underneath what meets the eye. That space between what you first see and what you find within appeals the most to me.

I was born intersex in India and have lived more than half my life in Germany. I have spent my life at the intersection of categories. That experience is not the backdrop of my art – but the glue that holds it. It belongs not just to me, but to anyone who has ever felt the need to go beyond the predefined.

My art moves across a wide human territory. Love and desire. Mental state and physical weight. Identity beyond body. (Pop) cultural referencing through a contemporary and personal lens. The experience of freedom and what it costs to be free. I don’t see these as separate subjects – they are all answers to what it feels like to be fully, stubbornly and irrefutably alive.

My work doesn't explain itself. It offers enough to pull you in and enough space for you to bring your own story, your own emotion, your own memory. What you find in it is yours.
